Any Red box checked should be considered for dispatch of WMD Strike Team unit assigned to the area of request.

Three or more Yellow boxes checked should be considered for dispatch of WMD Strike Team assigned to the area of request.

City of Austin dispatching agencies dispatch the CAPCO regional assets (WMD Strike Team) by notification of appropriate WMD Strike Team contact number (dispatch center or other designated contact number).

Notification will result in the contacted WMD Strike Team accepting the assignment for response. All responses will require notification of APD Bomb Squad and Radio Communication Interoperability unit to respond in tandem.

The City of Austin dispatching agencies are complete in their function when notification is made to the responding agency, Austin Bomb squad, Radio Interoperability.

These teams are designed to provide expertise and equipment at a catastrophic WMD/Terrorist event within the CAPCO Region.

Overhead teams and technical response may be deployed based on the perceived or actual needs by the responding agency.

Responding agency will respond based on regional response plans and ICS criteria.
